Le Petite Venice: Colmar, France

June 2019

It calls itself “Little Venice.” It is a lovely place to spend 2-3 days in Alcase-Lorraine. Went with a friend who studies in Stuttgart and makes electric Formula 1 cars.

These green roofs are gorgeous.

Lots of little waterways going through the city.

Many of the shops have great little old fashioned signs.

This kid

Nice little art market. Got some cute baby boots for my new cousin.

A few blocks over is a food market.

All sorts of fruits, and even some vegetables, that are soaked in sugar water. The celery was the most pleasant surprise. The oranges were unsurprisingly the best.

Little trains running through Little Venice.

Beautiful cathedral in the center of the city.

These eyes!

Not sure what this guy is doing, but he is doing it on the confessional booth.

Harry Potter books for each house.

The Rooster is the symbol of the French people.

Went for a boat ride.

Then to a little toy museum.

Played around with this crystal ball. My hand was burned in the taking of this photo.

Learned how to hold it without getting burned by the focused light.

I’d say go to Colmar.
