Had a three day weekend, so I went to three beautiful cities. It began in Dresden. This is one of the most attractive cities in Germany. It was heavily bombed towards the end of WWII and the German government made a big effort to rebuild. I am glad they did.
I just like this guy.
Creative social distancing reminder.
Beautiful huge timeline.
Exterior piping through much of the city, saw this in Berlin as well. I suppose it makes for easier maintenance.
After spending the night in Dresden, we took an early train to Bamberg in Bavaria.
Sometimes you’ve got to stop to smell the roses… I don’t blame you if you stop reading now, but stayed tuned for another great city.
Mens room.
Laddies room.
After a great day in Bamberg, we headed to another Bavarian city, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This is the most attractive little city I have been to in Germany. It is enclosed by a walkable medieval wall and full of charming shops and restaurants. We totally lucked out and happened to be there on the first day it was all open again since Covid. This and Colmar, France are my two favorite small European cities.
Excalibur! It took all my self control to not buy a full suit of armor.
We saw things differently.
Enjoying German food and drink.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Colin tested, Colin approved.
