Kickin it in Cambodia

June 2018

If you are ever in this part of the world, the Temple Region in Siem Reap Cambodia is a must! Hundreds of acres of jungles with many temples throughout. Tomb Raider with Angelia Jolie was filmed here.

We had a pretty exciting time crossing from Thailand into Cambodia is this bus/supply caravan. We made several stop along the journey dropping off supplies at various stores. Then walking across the boarder in the rain in a lot of chaos.

The sunrise at Angkor Wat is amazing.

They are so close to holding onto the tops of the temple.

Shuttle cocks are a popular toy in Asia. That’s James Bond in the background.

This is the real Lady Gaga. All the the food vendors are western celebrities and superhero’s. We also had a great time with James Bond 007 “License to coffee!”

If you have legal questions, we have legal answers.

Webb definitely has a future in modeling, if financial modeling does not work out.

The Temple of Faces is my favorite.

We had a great tour guide who we met at the airport. He drove us around all day and told us more about the history of Cambodia. He also lived a pretty crazy. His grandfather was killed by Pol Pot in the killing fields. Then during the civil war, while he was a teenage, he lived in the jungle surviving on the frogs and birds he hunted.

What use to be a killing field, is now a temple. Pol Pot killed over 2 million people, about 1/4 of the population, during his time as the communist leader of Cambodia in the 1970’s.

This lady loved Webb and helped teach him how to eat.

We had a great time in Cambodia and highly recommend the temple region. If you ever go, use the US dollar. It is the most desired and it was really hard to convert Cambodian Riel to Vietnamese Dong.

Something I notice in Cambodia was that the nicest buildings, besides luxury hotels, were schools. We saw a lot of family walking around with smiles and think this part of the world had a bright future. After a long time at war, they now have peace, and peace is the first step to prosperity.
